Here's Part I of the "Rare Earth" debate. It is a panel of "experts" debating the probability of other life in the universe. The title of the debate comes from a book that was published a couple of years ago argueing that the conditions that brought about life on earth are very rare.

OK. I've heard of "concerned" parents and members of the community trying to pull (ban) certain books from school libraries and book lists. I've even heard some silly reasons why. BUT.... these two ladies take the cake! AND not only do they want to ban a couple of books but they want to ban field trips to the Salem Witch Museum because it "promotes witchcraft."
