:: Sunday, April 11, 2004 :: Sid & Marty Kroft:: Saturday, April 10, 2004 :: Recently I've been seeing links to a website about a motorcycle tour through the "Dead Zone" surrounding Chernobyl. I finally clicked on it this morning via runswithscissors. It is a fascinating website. There are many pictures along with a short history of the area and the accident.:: Wednesday, April 07, 2004 :: Here is an interesting paper from economics professors from Harvard and UNC Chapel Hill about the effects of file sharing on album sales. What they discovered is that "downloads have had an effect on sales which is statistically indistinguishable from zero." In other words downloading music has had no effect. Maybe the recording industry is losing money because they charge alot for crappy music? They did it!!! Go UCONN!!!!!:: Monday, April 05, 2004 :: Oh yeah, just in case ....... Go UCONN!!!!!! March Madness has been great and now it is time to finish it off right!:: Friday, April 02, 2004 :: I just watched a rediculous (but still amusing) low budget "Matrix" ping pong match. Warning; there are pop-ups (just one). Here is another short which is amusing at times. It is a Mario Bros. star in "Matrix Reloaded" scene. Both of these shorts were found courtesy of A Lecturer's Tale.:: Sunday, August 18, 2002 :: I heard a story about an artist name George Rhoads on NPR recently. He creates "Rolling Ball" sculptures. I love things like that. I believe there is a rolling ball sculpture at the "Franklin Institute" in Philadelphia. That was my favorite exhibit when I was a kid. It was/is in the "Energy Room." Here's a link.:: Saturday, July 27, 2002 :: Thursday and Friday I went to the Dave Matthews Band concerts at the Meadows (Hartford, CT). The shows were great, as usual. I agree, though, with some people who said that the shows were a bit mellow compared to shows in past years.
